وَلَئِنْ إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا ﴿٣٤﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

And if you should obey a man like yourselves, indeed, you would then be losers.

    And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing."

  • وَقَالَ ٱلْمَلَأُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن قَوْمِهِۦ لَئِنِ ٱتَّبَعْتُمْ شُعَيْبًا إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَّخَٰسِرُونَ

    Said the eminent ones who disbelieved among his people, "If you should follow Shu'ayb, indeed, you would then be losers."

  • هَمَّازٍ مَّشَّآءٍۭ بِنَمِيمٍ

    [And] scorner, going about with malicious gossip -

  • إِنَّ عِبَادِى لَيْسَ لَكَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَٰنٌ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْغَاوِينَ

    Indeed, My servants - no authority will you have over them, except those who follow you of the deviators.

  • قُلْ أَنفِقُوا۟ طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا لَّن يُتَقَبَّلَ مِنكُمْ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا فَٰسِقِينَ

    Say, "Spend willingly or unwillingly; never will it be accepted from you. Indeed, you have been a defiantly disobedient people."
