منظور از خبر بزرگ و پر اهمیت. برانگیختن مردگان و رستاخیز است که قران تأکید فراوانی بر آن دارد. در روایات متعددی» این خبر بزرگ به ولایت و امامت امیرالمژمنین علی(ع) تفسیر شده است. البته باید توجه داشت که این روایات به معنای باطنی آیه توجه دارد و معنای ظاهری آن همان معاد است. توضیح این که ممکن است یک آیه معانی متعددی داشته باشد که از میان آنها یک معنی» ظاهری باشد. مشخص است که فهم باطن قرآن بدون وجود قراین روشن یا تفسیرهایی که از پیامبر(ص) و امامان معصوم(ع) رسیده» جایز نیست و این حقیقت که قرآن بطونی داردء نباید دستاویزی برای منحرفان باشد که آیات قرآن را هر گونه بخواهندء به میل خود تفسیر کنند.
