And when We decreed for Solomon death, nothing indicated to the jinn his death except a creature of the earth eating his staff. But when he fell, it became clear to the jinn that if they had known the unseen, they would not have remained in humiliating punishment.

When We decreed death for him, nothing apprised them of his death except a worm which gnawed away at his staff. And when he fell down, [the humans] realized that had the jinn known the Unseen, they would not have remained in a humiliating torment.

And when We decreed death for him, nothing showed his death to them save a creeping creature of the earth which gnawed away his staff. And when he fell the jinn saw clearly how, if they had known the Unseen, they would not have continued in despised toil.

Then, when We decreed (Solomon's) death, nothing showed them his death except a little worm of the earth, which kept (slowly) gnawing away at his staff: so when he fell down, the Jinns saw plainly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have tarried in the humiliating Penalty (of their Task).

And when We decreed that he should die, naught indicated to them that he was dead but the Beast of the Earth devouring his staff; and when he fell down, the jinn saw clearly that, had they only known the Unseen, they would not have continued in the humbling chastisement.

پس هنگامی که مرگ را بر او مقرّر کردیم، جنیان را از مرگش جز موریانه ای که عصایش را می خورد، آگاه نکرد؛ زمانی که به روی زمین در افتاد، جنّیان [که ادعای علم غیب داشتند] فهمیدند که اگر غیب می دانستند در آن عذاب خوارکننده [که کارهای بسیار پرزحمت و طاقت فرسا بود] درنگ نمی کردند.

پس چون مرگ را بر او مقرر داشتیم، جز جنبنده‌ای خاکی [=موریانه‌] که عصای او را [به تدریج‌] می‌خورد، [آدمیان را] از مرگ او آگاه نگردانید، پس چون [سلیمان‌] فرو افتاد برای جنیان روشن گردید که اگر غیب می‌دانستند، در آن عذاب خفت‌آور [باقی‌] نمی‌ماندند.

Süleyman'ın ölümüne hükmettiğimiz zaman, ancak değneğini yiyen kurt onun ölümünü cinlere farkettirdi. O, ölü olarak yere düşünce, ortaya çıktı ki, şayet cinler görülmeyeni bilmiş olsalardı alçak düşüren bir azap içinde kalmazlardı.

Maka tatkala Kami telah menetapkan kematian Sulaiman, tidak ada yang menunjukkan kepada mereka kematiannya itu kecuali rayap yang memakan tongkatnya. Maka tatkala ia telah tersungkur, tahulah jin itu bahwa kalau sekiranya mereka mengetahui yang ghaib tentulah mereka tidak akan tetap dalam siksa yang menghinakan.

پھر جب ہم نے ان کی موت کا فیصلہ کردیا تو ان کی موت کی خبر بھی جنات کو کسی نے نہ بتائی سوائے دیمک کے جو ان کے عصا کو کھارہی تھی اور وہ خاک پر گرے تو جنات کو معلوم ہوا کہ اگر وہ غیب کے جاننے والے ہوتے تو اس ذلیل کرنے والے عذاب میں مبتلا نہ رہتے

যখন আমি সোলায়মানের মৃত্যু ঘটালাম, তখন ঘুণ পোকাই জিনদেরকে তাঁর মৃত্যু সম্পর্কে অবহিত করল। সোলায়মানের লাঠি খেয়ে যাচ্ছিল। যখন তিনি মাটিতে পড়ে গেলেন, তখন জিনেরা বুঝতে পারল যে, অদৃশ্য বিষয়ের জ্ঞান থাকলে তারা এই লাঞ্ছনাপূর্ণ শাস্তিতে আবদ্ধ থাকতো না।
