And thus we have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you. And We did not make the qiblah which you used to face except that We might make evident who would follow the Messenger from who would turn back on his heels. And indeed, it is difficult except for those whom Allah has guided. And never would Allah have caused you to lose your faith. Indeed Allah is, to the people, Kind and Merciful.

Thus We have made you a middle nation that you may be witnesses to the people, and that the Apostle may be a witness to you. We did not appoint the qiblah you were following, but that We may ascertain those who follow the Apostle from those who turn back on their heels. It was indeed a hard thing except for those whom Allah has guided. And Allah would not let your prayers go to waste. Indeed Allah is most kind and merciful to mankind.

Thus We have appointed you a middle nation, that ye may be witnesses against mankind, and that the messenger may be a witness against you. And We appointed the qiblah which ye formerly observed only that We might know him who followeth the messenger, from him who turneth on his heels. In truth it was a hard (test) save for those whom Allah guided. But it was not Allah's purpose that your faith should be in vain, for Allah is Full of Pity, Merciful toward mankind.

Thus, have We made of you an Ummat justly balanced, that ye might be witnesses over the nations, and the Messenger a witness over yourselves; and We appointed the Qibla to which thou wast used, only to test those who followed the Messenger from those who would turn on their heels (From the Faith). Indeed it was (A change) momentous, except to those guided by Allah. And never would Allah Make your faith of no effect. For Allah is to all people Most surely full of kindness, Most Merciful.

Thus We appointed you a midmost nation that you might be witnesses to the people, and that the Messenger might be a witness to you; and We did not appoint the direction thou wast facing, except that We might know who followed the Messenger from him who turned on his heels -- though it were a grave thing save for those whom God has guided; but God would never leave your faith to waste - truly, God is All-gentle with the people, All-compassionate.

و همان گونه [که شما را به راه راست هدایت کردیم] شما را امتی میانه [ومعتدل و پیراسته از افراط و تفریط] قرار دادیم تا [در ایمان، عمل، درستی و راستی] بر مردم گواه باشید و پیامبر هم گواه بر شما باشد. و ما قبله ای را که بر آن بودی فقط به خاطر این قرار دادیم تا کسانی که از پیامبر پیروی می کنند از کسانی که از اسلام و اطاعت پیامبر برمی گردند [و متعصبانه به قبله پیش از کعبه می مانند] معلوم و مشخص کنیم؛ گر چه این حکم جز بر کسانی که خدا هدایتشان کرده گران و دشوار بود. و خدا بر آن نیست که ایمان شما را تباه کند؛ زیرا خدا به همه مردم رؤوف و مهربان است.

و بدین گونه شما را امتی میانه قرار دادیم، تا بر مردم گواه باشید؛ و پیامبر بر شما گواه باشد. و قبله‌ای را که [چندی‌] بر آن بودی، مقرر نکردیم جز برای آنکه کسی را که از پیامبر پیروی می‌کند، از آن کس که از عقیده خود برمی‌گردد بازشناسیم؛ هر چند [این کار] جز بر کسانی که خدا هدایت‌[شان‌] کرده، سخت گران بود؛ و خدا بر آن نبود که ایمان شما را ضایع گرداند، زیرا خدا [نسبت‌] به مردم دلسوز و مهربان است.

Böylece sizi insanlara şahid ve örnek olmanız için tam ortada bulunan bir ümmet kıldık. Peygamber de size şahid ve örnektir. Senin yöneldiğin yönü, Peygambere uyanları, cayacaklardan ayırdetmek için kıble yaptık. Doğrusu Allah'ın yola koyduğu kimselerden başkasına bu ağır bir şeydir. Allah ibadetlerinizi boşa çıkaracak değildir. Doğrusu Allah insanlara şefkat gösterir, merhamet eder.

Dan demikian (pula) Kami telah menjadikan kamu (umat Islam), umat yang adil dan pilihan agar kamu menjadi saksi atas (perbuatan) manusia dan agar Rasul (Muhammad) menjadi saksi atas (perbuatan) kamu. Dan Kami tidak menetapkan kiblat yang menjadi kiblatmu (sekarang) melainkan agar Kami mengetahui (supaya nyata) siapa yang mengikuti Rasul dan siapa yang membelot. Dan sungguh (pemindahan kiblat) itu terasa amat berat, kecuali bagi orang-orang yang telah diberi petunjuk oleh Allah; dan Allah tidak akan menyia-nyiakan imanmu. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Pengasih lagi Maha Penyayang kepada manusia.

اور تحویل قبلہ کی طرح ہم نے تم کو درمیانی اُمت قرار دیا ہے تاکہ تم لوگوںکے اعمال کے گواہ رہو اور پیغمبر تمہارے اعمال کے گواہ رہیں اور ہم نے پہلے قبلہ کو صرف اس لئے قبلہ بنایا تھا کہ ہم یہ دیکھیں کہ کون رسول کا اتباع کرتاہے اور کون پچھلے پاؤں پلٹ جاتا ہے. اگرچہ یہ قبلہ ان لوگوںکے علاوہ سب پر گراں ہے جن کی اللہ نے ہدایت کردی ہے اور خدا تمہارے ایمان کو ضائع نہیں کرنا چاہتا. وہ بندوں کے حال پر مہربان اور رحم کرنے والا ہے

এমনিভাবে আমি তোমাদেরকে মধ্যপন্থী সম্প্রদায় করেছি যাতে করে তোমরা সাক্ষ্যদাতা হও মানবমন্ডলীর জন্যে এবং যাতে রসূল সাক্ষ্যদাতা হন তোমাদের জন্য। আপনি যে কেবলার উপর ছিলেন, তাকে আমি এজন্যই কেবলা করেছিলাম, যাতে একথা প্রতীয়মান হয় যে, কে রসূলের অনুসারী থাকে আর কে পিঠটান দেয়। নিশ্চিতই এটা কঠোরতর বিষয়, কিন্তু তাদের জন্যে নয়, যাদেরকে আল্লাহ পথপ্রদর্শন করেছেন। আল্লাহ এমন নন যে, তোমাদের ঈমান নষ্ট করে দেবেন। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ, মানুষের প্রতি অত্যন্ত স্নেহশীল, করুনাময়।
