هنگامی که آب طغیان کرد شما را برکشتی سوار کردیم

این آیه اشارةٌ کوتاهی به سرنوشت قوم نوح(ع) و مجازات دردناک آنها می‌کند. طغیان آب چنین بود که ابرهای تیره و تار» آسمان را پوشانید و چنان بارانی نازل شد که گویی سیلاب از آسمان فرو می‌ریزد. چشمه‌ها نیز از زمین جوشیدن گرفت و این هر دو آب دست به هم دادند و همه را فرو بردند و تنها گروهی نجات یافتند که به نوح ایمان آورده و همراه او سوار بر کشتی شده بودند. تعبیر «حَمَلناکُم» کنایه از اسلاف و نیاکان ما است؛ چرا که اگر آنها نجات نیافته بودندء ما امروز وجود نداشتیم.!

    And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails,

  • فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ

    So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship.

  • وَهِىَ تَجْرِى بِهِمْ فِى مَوْجٍ كَٱلْجِبَالِ وَنَادَىٰ نُوحٌ ٱبْنَهُۥ وَكَانَ فِى مَعْزِلٍ يَٰبُنَىَّ ٱرْكَب مَّعَنَا وَلَا تَكُن مَّعَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

    And it sailed with them through waves like mountains, and Noah called to his son who was apart [from them], "O my son, come aboard with us and be not with the disbelievers."

  • أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ

    Did We not create you from a liquid disdained?
