And why do you not spend in the cause of Allah while to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest [of Makkah] and fought [and those who did so after it]. Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all Allah has promised the best [reward]. And Allah, with what you do, is Acquainted.

Why should you not spend in the way of Allah, when to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Those of you who spent [their means] and fought before the victory are not equal [to others]. They are greater in rank than those who have spent and fought afterwards. Yet Allah has promised the best reward to each and Allah is well aware of what you do.

And what aileth you that ye spend not in the way of Allah when unto Allah belongeth the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? Those who spent and fought before the victory are not upon a level (with the rest of you). Such are greater in rank than those who spent and fought afterwards. Unto each hath Allah promised good. And Allah is Informed of what ye do.

And what cause have ye why ye should not spend in the cause of Allah?- For to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent (freely) and fought, before the Victory, (with those who did so later). Those are higher in rank than those who spent (freely) and fought afterwards. But to all has Allah promised a goodly (reward). And Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do.

How is it with you, that you expend not in the way of God, and to God belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? Not equal is he among you who spent, and who fought before the victory; those are mightier in rank than they who spent and fought afterwards; and unto each God has promised the reward most fair; and God is aware of the things you do.

و شما را چه شده که در راه خدا انفاق نمی کنید؟ در حالی که میراث آسمان ها و زمین مخصوص خداست [و کسی مالک حقیقی چیزی نیست]. کسانی از شما که پیش از فتح [مکه] انفاق کردند و جهاد نمودند [با دیگران] یکسان نیستند، آنان از جهت درجه از کسانی که پس از فتح [مکه] انفاق کردند و جهاد نمودند، بلندپایه ترند. و خدا به هریک وعده نیکو داده است و خدا به آنچه انجام می دهید، آگاه است.

و شما را چه شده که در راه خدا انفاق نمی‌کنید و [حال آنکه‌] میراث آسمانها و زمین به خدا تعلق دارد؟ کسانی از شما که پیش از فتح [مکه‌] انفاق و جهاد کرده‌اند، [با دیگران‌] یکسان نیستند. آنان از [حیث ]درجه بزرگتر از کسانی‌اند که بعداً به انفاق و جهاد پرداخته‌اند. و خداوند به هر کدام وعده نیکو داده است، و خدا به آنچه می‌کنید آگاه است.

Göklerin ve yerin mirasçısı Allah olduğu halde, Allah yolunda siz niçin sarf etmiyorsunuz? İçinizden Mekke'nin fethinden önce sarfeden ve savaşan kimseler, daha sonra sarfedip savaşan kimselerle bir değildirler, öncekiler daha üstün derecededirler. Allah, hepsine cenneti vadetmiştir. Allah, işlediklerinizden haberdardır.

Dan mengapa kamu tidak menafkahkan (sebagian hartamu) pada jalan Allah, padahal Allah-lah yang mempusakai (mempunyai) langit dan bumi? Tidak sama di antara kamu orang yang menafkahkan (hartanya) dan berperang sebelum penaklukan (Mekah). Mereka lebih tingi derajatnya daripada orang-orang yang menafkahkan (hartanya) dan berperang sesudah itu. Allah menjanjikan kepada masing-masing mereka (balasan) yang lebih baik. Dan Allah mengetahui apa yang kamu kerjakan.

اور تمہیں کیا ہوگیا ہے کہ تم راہ هخدا میں خرچ نہیں کرتے ہو جب کہ آسمان و زمین کی وراثت اسی کے لئے ہے اور تم میں سے فتح سے پہلے انفاق کرنے والا اور جہاد کرنے والا اس کے جیسا نہیں ہوسکتا ہے جو فتح کے بعد انفاق اور جہاد کرے - پہلے جہاد کرنے والے کا درجہ بہت بلند ہے اگرچہ خدا نے سب سے نیکی کا وعدہ کیا ہے اور وہ تمہارے جملہ اعمال سے باخبر ہے

তোমাদেরকে আল্লাহর পথে ব্যয় করতে কিসে বাধা দেয়, যখন আল্লাহই নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলের উত্তরাধিকারী? তোমাদের মধ্যে যে মক্কা বিজয়ের পূর্বে ব্যয় করেছে ও জেহাদ করেছে, সে সমান নয়। এরূপ লোকদের মর্যদা বড় তাদের অপেক্ষা, যার পরে ব্যয় করেছে ও জেহাদ করেছে। তবে আল্লাহ উভয়কে কল্যাণের ওয়াদা দিয়েছেন। তোমরা যা কর, আল্লাহ সে সম্পর্কে সম্যক জ্ঞাত।
