And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and playing." Say, "Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?"

If you question them [regarding their conduct], they will surely say, ‘We were just gossiping and amusing ourselves.’ Say, ‘Were you deriding Allah, His signs, and His apostles?

And if thou ask them (O Muhammad) they will say: We did but talk and jest. Say: Was it at Allah and His revelations and His messenger that ye did scoff?

If thou dost question them, they declare (with emphasis): "We were only talking idly and in play." Say: "Was it at Allah, and His Signs, and His Messenger, that ye were mocking?"

And if thou questionest them, then assuredly they will say, 'We were only plunging and playing.' Say: 'What, then were you mocking God, and His signs, and His Messenger?

و اگر [نسبت به اعمال ناهنجار و گفتار باطلشان] از آنان بازخواست کنی، قاطعانه می گویند: فقط شوخی وبازی کردیم! بگو: آیا خدا وآیات او و پیامبرش را مسخره می کردید؟!

و اگر از ایشان بپرسی، مسلماً خواهند گفت: «ما فقط شوخی و بازی می‌کردیم.» بگو: «آیا خدا و آیات او و پیامبرش را ریشخند می‌کردید؟»

Onlara soracak olursan, "Biz and olsun ki, eğlenip oynuyorduk" diyecekler; De ki: "Allah'la, ayetleriyle, Peygamberiyle mi alay ediyordunuz?"

Dan jika kamu tanyakan kepada mereka (tentang apa yang mereka lakukan itu), tentulah mereka akan manjawab, "Sesungguhnya kami hanyalah bersenda gurau dan bermain-main saja". Katakanlah: "Apakah dengan Allah, ayat-ayat-Nya dan Rasul-Nya kamu selalu berolok-olok?"

اور اگر آپ ان سے باز پرس کریں گے تو کہیں گے کہ ہم تو صرف بات چیت اور دل لگی کررہے تھے تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ کیا اللہ اور اس کی آیات اور رسول کے بارے میں مذاق اڑارہے تھے

আর যদি তুমি তাদের কাছে জিজ্ঞেস কর, তবে তারা বলবে, আমরা তো কথার কথা বলছিলাম এবং কৌতুক করছিলাম। আপনি বলুন, তোমরা কি আল্লাহর সাথে, তাঁর হুকুম আহকামের সাথে এবং তাঁর রসূলের সাথে ঠাট্টা করছিলে?
