And if it were not that the people would become one community [of disbelievers], We would have made for those who disbelieve in the Most Merciful - for their houses - ceilings and stairways of silver upon which to mount

Were it not [for the danger] that mankind would be one community, We would have made for those who defy the All-beneficent, silver roofs for their houses and [silver] stairways by which they ascend,

And were it not that mankind would have become one community, We might well have appointed, for those who disbelieve in the Beneficent, roofs of silver for their houses and stairs (of silver) whereby to mount,

And were it not that (all) men might become of one (evil) way of life, We would provide, for everyone that blasphemes against (Allah) Most Gracious, silver roofs for their houses and (silver) stair-ways on which to go up,

And were it not that mankind would be one nation, We would have appointed for those who disbelieve in the All-merciful roofs of silver to their houses, and stairs whereon to mount,

و اگر [بهره مندی کفار از انواع نعمت های مادی و تهیدستی مؤمنان، سبب] این نبود که همه مردم [به خاطر ضعف ایمان و ناآگاه بودن به حقایق] بر محور کفر امتی واحد شوند، ما برای خانه های کافران به [خدای] رحمان سقف هایی از نقره قرار می دادیم و نردبان هایی که با آن بر بالای خانه ها برآیند.

و اگر نه آن بود که [همه‌] مردم [در انکار خدا] امتی واحد گردند، قطعاً برای خانه‌های آنان که به [خدای‌] رحمان کفر می‌ورزیدند، سقفها و نردبانهایی از نقره که بر آنها بالا روند قرار می‌دادیم.

Eğer bütün insanlar tek ümmet olma durumuna gelmeyecek olsaydı, Rahman olan Allah'ı inkar edenlerin evlerinin tavanlarını, üzerinde yükseldikleri merdivenleri, evlerinin kapılarını, üzerine yaslanacakları kerevetleri gümüşten yapar ve altın bezeklerle işlerdik. Bunların hepsi ancak dünya hayatının geçimliğidir. Ahiret, Rabbinin katında O'na karşı gelmekten sakınanlaradır.

Dan sekiranya bukan karena hendak menghindari manusia menjadi umat yang satu (dalam kekafiran), tentulah kami buatkan bagi orang-orang yang kafir kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Pemurah loteng-loteng perak bagi rumah mereka dan (juga) tangga-tangga (perak) yang mereka menaikinya.

اور اگر ایسا نہ ہوتا کہ تمام لوگ ایک ہی قوم ہوجائیں گے تو ہم رحمٰن کا انکار کرنے والوںکے لئے ان کے گھر کی چھتیں اور سیڑھیاں جن پر یہ چڑھتے ہیں سب کو چاند ی کا بنادیتے

যদি সব মানুষের এক মতাবলম্বী হয়ে যাওয়ার আশংকা না থাকত, তবে যারা দয়াময় আল্লাহকে অস্বীকার করে আমি তাদেরকে দিতাম তাদের গৃহের জন্যে রৌপ্য নির্মিত ছাদ ও সিঁড়ি, যার উপর তারা চড়ত।
