Has there not reached you the news of those before you - the people of Noah and 'Aad and Thamud and those after them? No one knows them but Allah. Their messengers brought them clear proofs, but they returned their hands to their mouths and said, "Indeed, we disbelieve in that with which you have been sent, and indeed we are, about that to which you invite us, in disquieting doubt."

Has there not come to you the account of those who were before you—the people of Noah, ‘Ad and Thamud, and those who were after them, whom no one knows [well] except Allah? Their apostles brought them manifest proofs, but they did not respond to them, and said, ‘We disbelieve in what you have been sent with. Indeed we have grave doubts concerning that to which you invite us.’

Hath not the history of those before you reached you: the folk of Noah, and (the tribes of) A'ad and Thamud, and those after them? None save Allah knoweth them. Their messengers came unto them with clear proofs, but they thrust their hands into their mouths, and said: Lo! we disbelieve in that wherewith ye have been sent, and lo! we are in grave doubt concerning that to which ye call us.

Has not the story reached you, (O people!), of those who (went) before you? - of the people of Noah, and 'Ad, and Thamud? - And of those who (came) after them? None knows them but Allah. To them came messengers with Clear (Signs); but they put their hands up to their mouths, and said: "We do deny (the mission) on which ye have been sent, and we are really in suspicious (disquieting) doubt as to that to which ye invite us."

Has there not come to you the tidings of those who were before you -- the people of Noah, Ad, Thamood, and of those after them whom none knows but God? Their Messengers came to them with the clear signs; but they thrust their hands into their mouths, saying, 'We certainly disbelieve in the Message you have been sent with, and we are in doubt, concerning that you call us unto, disquieting.'

آیا خبر [پندآموز] کسانی که پیش از شما بودند، به شما نرسیده؟ [خبرِ] قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود و آنان که پس از ایشان بودند که جز خدا از آنان آگاه نیست، [همه آنان اقوامی بودند که] پیامبرانشان برای آنان دلایل روشن آوردند، ولی آنان دست هایشان را [به عنوان اعتراض، استهزا، تحقیر کردن و پاسخ ندادن به دعوت پیامبران] در دهان هایشان بردند و گفتند: مسلماً ما به آن رسالتی که شما به آن فرستاده شده اید، کافریم و نسبت به آنچه ما را به آن دعوت می کنید، به شدت در شک و تردیدیم!!

آیا خبر کسانی که پیش از شما بودند: قوم نوح و عاد و ثمود، و آنانکه بعد از ایشان بودند [و] کسی جز خدا از آنان آگاهی ندارد، به شما نرسیده است؟ فرستادگانشان دلایل آشکار برایشان آوردند، ولی آنان دستهایشان را [به نشانه اعتراض‌] بر دهانهایشان نهادند و گفتند: «ما به آنچه شما بدان مأموریت دارید کافریم، و از آنچه ما را بدان می‌خوانید سخت در شکّیم.»

Sizden önce gecen Nuh, Ad, Semud milletlerinin ve onlardan sonra gelenlerin haberleri ki onları Allah'tan başkası bilmez size ulaşmadı mı? Onlara peygamberleri belgelerle geldiler, fakat ellerini ağızlarına götürüp: "Biz sizinle gönderilene inanmıyoruz. Bizi çağırdığınız şeyden de şüphe ve endişe içindeyiz" dediler.

Belumkah sampai kepadamu berita orang-orang sebelum kamu (yaitu) kaum Nuh, 'Ad, Tsamud dan orang-orang sesudah mereka. Tidak ada yang mengetahui mereka selain Allah. Telah datang rasul-rasul kepada mereka (membawa) bukti-bukti yang nyata lalu mereka menutupkan tangannya ke mulutnya (karena kebencian), dan berkata: "Sesungguhnya kami mengingkari apa yang kamu disuruh menyampaikannya (kepada kami), dan sesungguhnya kami benar-benar dalam keragu-raguan yang menggelisahkan terhadap apa yang kamu ajak kami kepadanya".

کیا تمہارے پاس اپنے سے پہلے والوں قوم نوح اور قوم عاد و ثمود اور جو ان کے بعد گزرے ہیں اور جنہیں خدا کے علاوہ کوئی نہیں جانتا ہے کی خبر نہیں آئی ہے کہ ان کے پاس اللہ کے رسول معجزات لے کر آئے اور انہوں نے ان کے ہاتھوں کو ان ہی کے منہ کی طرف پلٹا دیا اور صاف کہہ دیا کہ ہم تمہارے لائے ہوئے پیغام کے منکر ہیں اور ہمیں اس بات کے بارے میں واضح شک ہے جس کی طرف تم ہمیں دعوت دے رہے ہو

তোমাদের কাছে কি তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তী কওমে নূহ, আদ ও সামুদের এবং তাদের পরবর্তীদের খবর পৌছেনি? তাদের বিষয়ে আল্লাহ ছাড়া আর কেউ জানে না। তাদের কাছে তাদের পয়গম্বর প্রমানাদি নিয়ে আগমন করেন। অতঃপর তারা নিজেদের হাত নিজেদের মুখে রেখে দিয়েছে এবং বলেছে, যা কিছু সহ তোমাদেরকে প্রেরণ করা হয়েছে, আমরা তা মানি না এবং যে পথের দিকে তোমরা আমাদেরকে দাওয়াত দাও, সে সম্পর্কে আমাদের মনে সন্দেহ আছে, যা আমাদেরকে উৎকন্ঠায় ফেলে রেখেছে।
