They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? Say, "Its knowledge is only with my Lord. None will reveal its time except Him. It lays heavily upon the heavens and the earth. It will not come upon you except unexpectedly." They ask you as if you are familiar with it. Say, "Its knowledge is only with Allah, but most of the people do not know."

They question you concerning the Hour, when will it set in? Say, ‘Its knowledge is only with my Lord: none except Him shall manifest it at its time. It will weigh heavy on the heavens and the earth. It will not overtake you but suddenly.’ They ask you as if you were in the know of it. Say, ‘Its knowledge is only with Allah, but most people do not know.’

They ask thee of the (destined) Hour, when will it come to port. Say: Knowledge thereof is with my Lord only. He alone will manifest it at its proper time. It is heavy in the heavens and the earth. It cometh not to you save unawares. They question thee as if thou couldst be well informed thereof. Say: Knowledge thereof is with Allah only, but most of mankind know not.

They ask thee about the (final) Hour - when will be its appointed time? Say: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord (alone): None but He can reveal as to when it will occur. Heavy were its burden through the heavens and the earth. Only, all of a sudden will it come to you." They ask thee as if thou Wert eager in search thereof: Say: "The knowledge thereof is with Allah (alone), but most men know not."

They will question thee concerning the Hour, when it shall berth. Say: 'The knowledge of it is only with my Lord; none shall reveal it at its proper time, but He. Heavy is it in the heavens and the earth; it will not come on you but suddenly!' They will question thee, as though thou art well-informed of it. Say: 'The knowledge of it is only with God, but most men know not.'

همواره درباره قیامت از تو می پرسند که وقوع آن چه وقت است؟ بگو: دانش آن فقط نزد پروردگار من است، غیر او آن را در وقت معینش آشکار نمی کند؛ [تحملِ این حادثه عظیم و هولناک،] بر آسمان ها و زمین سنگین و دشوار است، جز به طور ناگهانی بر شما نمی آید. آن گونه از تو می پرسند که گویا تو از وقت وقوعش به شدت کنجکاوی کرده ای [و کاملاً از آن آگاهی]، بگو: دانش آن فقط نزد خداست، ولی بیشتر مردم نمی دانند [که این دانش، مخصوص به خدا و فقط در اختیار اوست.]

از تو در باره قیامت می‌پرسند [که‌] وقوع آن چه وقت است؟ بگو: «علم آن، تنها نزد پروردگار من است. جز او [هیچ کس‌] آن را به موقع خود آشکار نمی‌گرداند. [این حادثه‌] بر آسمانها و زمین گران است، جز ناگهان به شما نمی‌رسد.» [باز] از تو می‌پرسند گویا تو از [زمان وقوع‌] آن آگاهی. بگو: «علم آن، تنها نزد خداست، ولی بیشتر مردم نمی‌دانند.»

Sana, kıyamet saatinin ne zaman gelip çatacağını soruyorlar, de ki: "Onu ancak Rabbim bilir, onun vaktini, O'ndan başka belirtecek yoktur. Göklerin ve yerin, ağırlığını kaldıramayacağı o saat, sizlere ansızın gelecektir." Sen sanki öğrenmişsin gibi sana soruyorlar, de ki: "Onu bilmek ancak Allah'a mahsustur, ama insanların çoğu bu gerçeği bilmezler."

Mereka menanyakan kepadamu tentang kiamat: "Bilakah terjadinya?" Katakanlah: "Sesungguhnya pengetahuan tentang kiamat itu adalah pada sisi Tuhanku; tidak seorangpun yang dapat menjelaskan waktu kedatangannya selain Dia. Kiamat itu amat berat (huru haranya bagi makhluk) yang di langit dan di bumi. Kiamat itu tidak akan datang kepadamu melainkan dengan tiba-tiba". Mereka bertanya kepadamu seakan-akan kamu benar-benar mengetahuinya. Katakanlah: "Sesungguhnya pengetahuan tentang bari kiamat itu adalah di sisi Allah, tetapi kebanyakan manusia tidak mengetahui".

پیغمبر !یہ آپ سے قیامت کے بارے میں سوال کرتے ہیں کہ اس کا ٹھکانا کب ہے تو کہہ دیجئے کہ اس کا علم میرے پروردگار کے پاس ہے وہی اس کو بروقت ظاہر کرے گا یہ قیامت زمین و آسمان دونوں کے لئے بہت گراں ہے اور تمہارے پاس اچانک آنے والی ہے یہ لوگ آپ سے اس طرح سوال کرتے ہیں گویا آپ کو اس کی مکمل فکر ہے تو کہہ دیجئے کہ اس کا علم اللہ کے پاس ہے لیکن اکثر لوگوں کو اس کا علم بھی نہیں ہے

আপনাকে জিজ্ঞেস করে, কেয়ামত কখন অনুষ্ঠিত হবে? বলে দিন এর খবর তো আমার পালনকর্তার কাছেই রয়েছে। তিনিই তা অনাবৃত করে দেখাবেন নির্ধারিত সময়ে। আসমান ও যমীনের জন্য সেটি অতি কঠিন বিষয়। যখন তা তোমাদের উপর আসবে অজান্তেই এসে যাবে। আপনাকে জিজ্ঞেস করতে থাকে, যেন আপনি তার অনুসন্ধানে লেগে আছেন। বলে দিন, এর সংবাদ বিশেষ করে আল্লাহর নিকটই রয়েছে। কিন্তু তা অধিকাংশ লোকই উপলব্ধি করে না।
