And indeed, there is among you he who lingers behind; and if disaster strikes you, he says, "Allah has favored me in that I was not present with them."

Among you is indeed he who drags his feet, and should an affliction visit you, he says, ‘It was certainly Allah’s blessing that I did not accompany them!’

Lo! among you there is he who loitereth; and if disaster overtook you, he would say: Allah hath been gracious unto me since I was not present with them.

There are certainly among you men who would tarry behind: If a misfortune befalls you, they say: "Allah did favour us in that we were not present among them."

Some of you there are that are dilatory; then, if an affliction visits you, he says, 'God has blessed me, in that I was not a martyr with them.'

یقیناً از شما کسی است که [از رفتن به سوی جنگ] درنگ و کُندی می کند، پس اگر به شما [رزمندگانی که به جنگ رفته اید] آسیبی رسد، گوید: خدا بر من محبت و لطف داشت که با آنان [در میدان جنگ] حاضر نبودم.

و قطعاً از میان شما کسی است که کندی به خرج دهد؛ پس اگر آسیبی به شما رسد گوید: «راستی خدا بر من نعمت بخشید که با آنان حاضر نبودم.»

Şüphesiz aranızda pek ağır davrananlar vardır; size bir musibet gelirse: "Allah bana iyilikte bulundu, çünkü onlarla beraber bulunmadim" der.

Dan sesungguhnya di antara kamu ada orang yang sangat berlambat-lambat (ke medan pertempuran). Maka jika kamu ditimpa musibah ia berkata: "Sesungguhnya Tuhan telah menganugerahkan nikmat kepada saya karena saya tidak ikut berperang bersama mereka.

تم میں ایسے لوگ بھی گھس گئے ہیں جو لوگوں کو روکیں گے اور اگر تم پر کوئی مصیبت آگئی تو کہیں گے کہ خد انے ہم پر احسان کیا کہ ہم ان کے ساتھ حاضر نہیں تھے

আর তোমাদের মধ্যে এমনও কেউ কেউ রয়েছে, যারা অবশ্য বিলম্ব করবে এবং তোমাদের উপর কোন বিপদ উপস্থিত হলে বলবে, আল্লাহ আমার প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করেছেন যে, আমি তাদের সাথে যাইনি।
