But if bounty comes to you from Allah, he will surely say, as if there had never been between you and him any affection. "Oh, I wish I had been with them so I could have attained a great attainment."

But should a bounty from Allah come to you, he will say—as if there were no [tie of friendship and] affection between you and him—‘I wish I were with them so that I had achieved a great success!’

And if a bounty from Allah befell you, he would surely cry, as if there had been no love between you and him: Oh, would that I had been with them, then should I have achieved a great success!

But if good fortune comes to you from Allah, they would be sure to say - as if there had never been Ties of affection between you and them - "Oh! I wish I had been with them; a fine thing should I then have made of it!"

But if a bounty from God visits you, he will surely say, as if there had never been any affection between you and him, 'Would that I had been with them, to attain a mighty triumph!'

و اگر بخشش و فضلی از سوی خدا به شما رسد چنان که گویی میان شما و او هرگز دوستی و مودّتی نبوده، [و از جنگ شما با دشمن آگاهی نداشته، و برای اینکه از پیروزی و غنیمت سهمی نبرده، آه سردی می کشد و] می گوید: ای کاش من هم با آنان بودم، پس به کامیابی بزرگی دست می یافتم.

و اگر غنیمتی از خدا به شما برسد -چنانکه گویی میان شما و میان او [رابطه‌] دوستی نبوده- خواهد گفت: «کاش من با آنان بودم و به نوای بزرگی می‌رسیدم.»

Allah'tan size bir nimet erişse, and olsun ki, sizinle kendi arasında bir dostluk yokmuş gibi: "Keşki onlarla beraber olsaydım da ben de büyük bir başarı kazansaydım" der.

Dan sungguh jika kamu beroleh karunia (kemenangan) dari Allah, tentulah dia mengatakan seolah-oleh belum pernah ada hubungan kasih sayang antara kamu dengan dia: "Wahai kiranya saya ada bersama-sama mereka, tentu saya mendapat kemenangan yang besar (pula)".

اور اگر تمہیں خدائی فضل و کرم مل گیا تو اس طرح جیسے تمہارے ان کے درمیان کبھی دوستی ہی نہیں تھی کہنے لگیں گے کہ کاش ہم بھی ان کے ساتھ ہوتے اور کامیابی کی عظیم منزل پر فائز ہوجاتے

পক্ষান্তরে তোমাদের প্রতি আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে কোন অনুগ্রহ আসলে তারা এমন ভাবে বলতে শুরু করবে যেন তোমাদের মধ্যে এবং তাদের মধ্যে কোন মিত্রতাই ছিল না। (বলবে) হায়, আমি যদি তাদের সাথে থাকতাম, তাহলে আমি ও যে সফলতা লাভ করতাম।
