وَقَالُوٓا۟ ءَأَٰلِهَتُنَا خَيْرٌ أَمْ هُوَ مَا ضَرَبُوهُ لَكَ إِلَّا جَدَلًۢا بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ خَصِمُونَ﴿٥٨﴾
English
Saheeh International
And they said, "Are your gods better, or is he?" They did not present the comparison except for [mere] argument. But, [in fact], they are a people prone to dispute.

They say, ‘Are our gods better or he?’ They cite him to you only for the sake of contention. Indeed, they are a contentious lot.

انصاریان (Ansarian)
و گفتند: آیا معبودان ما بهترند یا او. [ولی] آنان این مقایسه را به عنوان مثل برای تو نزدند مگر از روی جدال بی منطق و ستیزه جویی [تو معبود بودن عیسی را نپذیرفته ای]، بلکه اینان گروهی ستیزه جو [و در جدال باطل بسیار سرسخت] هستند.

و گفتند: «آیا معبودان ما بهترند یا او؟» آن [مثال] را جز از راه جدل برای تو نزدند، بلکه آنان مردمی جدلپیشهاند.
