They said, "O Shu'ayb, does your prayer command you that we should leave what our fathers worship or not do with our wealth what we please? Indeed, you are the forbearing, the discerning!"

They said, ‘O Shu‘ayb, does your worship require that we abandon what our fathers have been worshiping, or that we should not do with our wealth whatever we wish? You are indeed [a] gentle and sensible [person].’

They said: O Shu'eyb! Doth thy way of prayer command thee that we should forsake that which our fathers (used to) worship, or that we (should leave off) doing what we will with our own property. Lo! thou art the mild, the guide to right behaviour.

They said: "O Shu'aib! Does thy (religion of) prayer command thee that we leave off the worship which our fathers practised, or that we leave off doing what we like with our property? truly, thou art the one that forbeareth with faults and is right-minded!"

They said, 'Shuaib, does thy prayer command thee that we should leave that our fathers served, or to do as we will with our goods? Thou art the clement one, the right-minded.'

گفتند: ای شعیب! آیا نمازت به تو فرمان می دهد که آنچه را پدرانمان می پرستیدند رها کنیم؟ یا از اینکه در اموالمان به هر کیفیتی که می خواهیم تصرف کنیم دست برداریم؟ به راستی که تو [انسانی] بردبار و راه یافته ای [پس چرا می خواهی در برابر آزادی ما نسبت به بت پرستی وهزینه کردن اموالمان به هر کیفیتی که بخواهیم بایستی؟!]

گفتند: «ای شعیب، آیا نماز تو به تو دستور می‌دهد که آنچه را پدران ما می‌پرستیده‌اند رها کنیم، یا در اموال خود به میل خود تصرّف نکنیم؟ راستی که تو بردبار فرزانه‌ای.»

"Ey Şuayb! Babalarımızın taptığını bırakmamızı emreden veya mallarımızı istediğimiz gibi kullanmamızı meneden senin namazın mıdır? Sen doğrusu aklı başında, yumuşak huylu birisin" dediler.

Mereka berkata: "Hai Syu'aib, apakah sembahyangmu menyuruh kamu agar kami meninggalkan apa yang disembah oleh bapak-bapak kami atau melarang kami memperbuat apa yang kami kehendaki tentang harta kami. Sesungguhnya kamu adalah orang yang sangat penyantun lagi berakal".

ان لوگوں نے طنز کیا کہ شعیب کیا تمہاری نماز تمہیں یہ حکم دیتی ہے کہ ہم اپنے بزرگوں کے معبودوں کو چھوڑ دیں یا اپنے اموال میں اپنی مرضی کے مطابق تصرف نہ کریں تم تو بڑے بردبار اور سمجھ دار معلوم ہوتے ہو

তারা বলল-হে শোয়ায়েব (আঃ) আপনার নামায কি আপনাকে ইহাই শিক্ষা দেয় যে, আমরা ঐসব উপাস্যদেরকে পরিত্যাগ করব আমাদের বাপ-দাদারা যাদের উপাসনা করত? অথবা আমাদের ধন-সম্পদে ইচ্ছামত যা কিছু করে থাকি, তা ছেড়ে দেব? আপনি তো একজন খাস মহৎ ব্যক্তি ও সৎপথের পথিক।
