[Aaron] said, "O son of my mother, do not seize [me] by my beard or by my head. Indeed, I feared that you would say, 'You caused division among the Children of Israel, and you did not observe [or await] my word.' "

He said, ‘O son of my mother! Do not grab my beard or my head! I feared lest you should say, ‘‘You have caused a rift among the Children of Israel and did not heed my word [of advice].’’’

He said: O son of my mother! Clutch not my beard nor my head! I feared lest thou shouldst say: Thou hast caused division among the Children of Israel, and hast not waited for my word.

(Aaron) replied: "O son of my mother! Seize (me) not by my beard nor by (the hair of) my head! Truly I feared lest thou shouldst say, 'Thou has caused a division among the children of Israel, and thou didst not respect my word!'"

'Son of my mother,' Aaron said, 'take me not by the beard, or the head! I was fearful that thou wouldst say, "Thou hast divided the Children of Israel, and thou hast not observed my word."

گفت: ای پسر مادرم! نه ریش مرا بگیر و نه سرم را، من ترسیدم که بگویی: میان بنی اسرائیل تفرقه و جدایی انداختی و سفارش مرا [در حفظ وحدت بنی اسرائیل] رعایت نکردی.

گفت: «ای پسر مادرم، نه ریش مرا بگیر و نه [موی‌] سرم را، من ترسیدم بگویی: میان بنی‌اسرائیل تفرقه انداختی و سخنم را مراعات نکردی.»

Harun: "Ey Annemoğlu! Saçımdan sakalımdan tutma; doğrusu İsrailoğulları arasına ayrılık koydun, sözüme bakmadın demenden korktum" dedi.

Harun menjawab' "Hai putera ibuku, janganlah kamu pegang janggutku dan jangan (pula) kepalaku; sesungguhnya aku khawatir bahwa kamu akan berkata (kepadaku): "Kamu telah memecah antara Bani Israil dan kamu tidak memelihara amanatku".

ہارون نے کہا کہ بھیّا آپ میری داڑھی اور میرا سر نہ پکڑیں مجھے تو یہ خوف تھا کہ کہیں آپ یہ نہ کہیں کہ تم نے بنی اسرائیل میں اختلاف پیدا کردیا ہے اور میری بات کا انتظار نہیں کیا ہے

তিনি বললেনঃ হে আমার জননী-তনয়, আমার শ্মশ্রু ও মাথার চুল ধরে আকর্ষণ করো না; আমি আশঙ্কা করলাম যে, তুমি বলবেঃ তুমি বনী-ইসরাঈলের মধ্যে বিভেদ সৃষ্টি করেছ এবং আমার কথা স্মরণে রাখনি।
