O descendants of those We carried [in the ship] with Noah. Indeed, he was a grateful servant.

قرآن حکیم (شرح آیات منتخب)

انسان‌ها از نسل نوح(ع) و همراهان او در کشتی هستند

از آیات قرآن چنین برداشت می‌شود که همه انسان‌ها از نسل حضرت نوح(ع) و همراهان ایشان در کشتی هستند و دیگر انسان‌ها در آن عصر چون به حضرت نوح ایمان نیاوردند و برکفر خود پافشاری کردند.ء بر اثر طوفان غرق شدند؛ چنان که در سورةٌ صافات می‌فرماید: «و فرزندان او را همان بازماندگان (روی زمین) قرار دادیم... سپس دیگران [- دشمنان او] را غخرق کردیم.» (آیات ۷۷ و ۸۲ سورهٌ صافات).

نوح؛ بندةٌ شکرگزار خدا

بدون شک همةٌ پیامبران» بندهةٌ شکرگزار خدا بودند؛ ولی برای نوح(ع) ویژگی‌هایی در احادیث وارد شده که او را شایستةٌ این توصیف کرده است؛ از جمله این که هر زمان که لباس می‌پوشید یا آب می‌نوشید یا غذایی می‌خورد یا ندمت دیگری به او می‌رسید. فوراً به یاد خدا می‌افتاد و شکرگزاری می‌کرد. در حدیثی از امام باقر و امام صادق(ع) می‌خوانیم: «نوح همه روزه صبحگاه و شامگاه این دعا را می‌خواند: خداونداء من تو را گواه می‌گیرم که هر نعمتی که صبح و شام به من می‌رسد. چه دیضی و چه دنیوی, همه از سوی تو است. یگانه‌ای و شریکی نداری, حمد مخصوص تو است و شکر هم از آن تو. آن‌قدر شکرت می‌گویم تا از من خشنود شوی, حتی بعد از خشنودی‌ات (نیز تو را شکر می‌کنم).» سپس آمام افزود: «شکر نوح این‌گونه بود.»؟
