He said, "Did you see when we retired to the rock? Indeed, I forgot [there] the fish. And none made me forget it except Satan - that I should mention it. And it took its course into the sea amazingly".

He said, ‘Did you see?! When we took shelter at the rock, indeed I forgot about the fish—and none but Satan made me forget to mention it!—and it made its way into the sea in an amazing manner!’

He said: Didst thou see, when we took refuge on the rock, and I forgot the fish - and none but Satan caused me to forget to mention it - it took its way into the waters by a marvel.

He replied: "Sawest thou (what happened) when we betook ourselves to the rock? I did indeed forget (about) the Fish: none but Satan made me forget to tell (you) about it: it took its course through the sea in a marvellous way!"

He said, 'What thinkest thou? When we took refuge in the rock, then I forgot the fish-and it was Satan himself that made me forget it so that I should not remember it -- and so it took its way into the sea in a manner marvellous.'

خدمت گزارش گفت: آیا ندانستی چون کنار آن سنگ جای گرفتیم، من ماهی را از یاد بردم و آن با وضعی شگفت انگیز راه خود را در دریا گرفت و رفت، و جز شیطان از خاطرم نبرد که آن را به یاد داشته باشم.

گفت: «دیدی؟ وقتی به سوی آن صخره پناه جستیم، من ماهی را فراموش کردم، و جز شیطان، [کسی‌] آن را از یاد من نبرد، تا به یادش باشم، و به طور عجیبی راه خود را در دریا پیش گرفت.»

O da: "Bak sen! Kayalığa vardığımızda balığı unutmuştum. Bana onu hatırlamamı unutturan ancak şeytandır. Balık şaşılacak şekilde denizde yolunu tutup gitmiş" dedi.

Muridnya menjawab: "Tahukah kamu tatkala kita mencari tempat berlindung di batu tadi, maka sesungguhnya aku lupa (menceritakan tentang) ikan itu dan tidak adalah yang melupakan aku untuk menceritakannya kecuali syaitan dan ikan itu mengambil jalannya ke laut dengan cara yang aneh sekali".

اس جوان نے کہا کہ کیا آپ نے یہ دیکھا ہے کہ جب ہم پتھر کے پاس ٹھہرے تھے تو میں نے مچھلی وہیں چھوڑ دی تھی اور شیطان نے اس کے ذکر کرنے سے بھی غافل کردیا تھا اور اس نے دریا میں عجیب طرح سے راستہ بنالیا تھا

সে বললঃ আপনি কি লক্ষ্য করেছেন, আমরা যখন প্রস্তর খন্ডে আশ্রয় নিয়েছিলাম, তখন আমি মাছের কথা ভুলে গিয়েছিলাম। শয়তানই আমাকে একথা স্মরণ রাখতে ভুলিয়ে দিয়েছিল। মাছটি আশ্চর্য জনক ভাবে সমুদ্রে নিজের পথ করে নিয়েছে।
