فَلَآ إِنَّا ﴿٤٠﴾

قرآن حکیم (شرح آیات منتخب)

پروردگار مشرق‌ها و مغرب‌ها

در آیات قرآن مجید گاهی تعابیر مشرق و مغرب به صورت مفرد (بقره - 4۱۱۵ گاه به صورت تثنیه (دو مشرق و دو مغرب) (رحمن - ۱۷) و گاه -مانند همین آیه -به صورت جمع (مشرق‌ها و مغرب‌ها) آمده است. توضیح این که خورشید هر روز از نقطةٌ تازه‌ای طلوع و در نقطةٌ تازه‌ای غروب می‌کند. بنابر این به عدد روزهای سال» مشرق و مغرب داریم. از سوی دیگرء در میان این همه مشرق و مغرب» دو مشرق و دو مغرب ممتازند که یکی در آغاز تابستان یعنی حداکثر اوج خورشید در مدار شمالی و یکی در آغاز ز مستان یعنی حداقل پایین آمدن خورشید در مدار جنوبی است - که از یکی به مدار راس السرطان و از دیگری تعبیر به راس جدی می‌کنند - و چون این دو کاملا مشخص هستند، بر أنها تکیه ویره شده است. علاوه بر این، دو مشرق و دو مغرب دیکَر که أنهارا مشرق و مغرب اعتدالی می‌نامند (در اول بهار و اول پاییزه هنگامی که شب و روز در تمام دنیا برابر است) نیز مشخص است که بعضی «رب‌المشرقین و رب‌المغربین» در أَیةُ ۱۷ سورةٌ رحمن را اشاره به آن گرفته‌اند؛ اما آنجا که به صورت مفرد ذکر شده» منظور» خود مشرق و مغرب به طور کلی است.
