They are not but [mere] names you have named them - you and your forefathers - for which Allah has sent down no authority. They follow not except assumption and what [their] souls desire, and there has already come to them from their Lord guidance.

These are but names, which you have coined—you and your fathers—for which Allah has not sent down any authority. They follow nothing but conjectures and the desires of the [lower] soul, while there has already come to them the guidance from their Lord.

They are but names which ye have named, ye and your fathers, for which Allah hath revealed no warrant. They follow but a guess and that which (they) themselves desire. And now the guidance from their Lord hath come unto them.

These are nothing but names which ye have devised,- ye and your fathers,- for which Allah has sent down no authority (whatever). They follow nothing but conjecture and what their own souls desire!- Even though there has already come to them Guidance from their Lord!

They are naught but names yourselves have named, and your fathers; God has sent down no authority touching them. They follow only surmise, and what the souls desire; and yet guidance has come to them from their Lord.

این بتان [که شما آنها را به عنوان شریک خدا گرفته اید] چیزی جز نام ها [ی بی معنا و بی مفهوم] که شما و پدرانتان [بر اساس حدس و گمان] نامگذاری کرده اید نیستند، خدا بر [حقّانیّت] آنها هیچ دلیلی نازل نکرده است. اینان فقط از پندار و گمان [بی پایه] و هواهای نفسانی پیروی می کنند، در حالی که مسلماً از سوی پروردگارشان برای آنان هدایت آمده است.

[این بتان‌] جز نامهایی بیش نیستند که شما و پدرانتان نامگذاری کرده‌اید [و] خدا بر [حقّانیّت‌] آنها هیچ دلیلی نفرستاده است. [آنان‌] جز گمان و آنچه را که دلخواهشان است پیروی نمی‌کنند، با آنکه قطعاً از جانب پروردگارشان هدایت برایشان آمده است.

Bunlar sizin ve babalarınızın taktığı adlardan başka bir şey değildir. Allah onları destekleyen bir delil indirmemiştir. Onlar sadece sanıya ve canlarının istediğine uymaktadırlar. Oysa onlara Rablerinden and olsun ki doğruluk rehberi gelmiştir.

Itu tidak lain hanyalah nama-nama yang kamu dan bapak-bapak kamu mengadakannya; Allah tidak menurunkan suatu keteranganpun untuk (menyembah)nya. Mereka tidak lain hanyalah mengikuti sangkaan-sangkaan, dan apa yang diingini oleh hawa nafsu mereka dan sesungguhnya telah datang petunjuk kepada mereka dari Tuhan mereka.

یہ سب وہ نام ہیں جو تم نے اور تمہارے باپ دادا نے طے کرلئے ہیں خدا نے ان کے بارے میں کوئی دلیل نازل نہیں کی ہے - درحقیقت یہ لوگ صرف اپنے گمانوں کا اتباع کررہے ہیں اور جو کچھ ان کا دل چاہتا ہے اور یقینا ان کے پروردگار کی طرف سے ان کے پاس ہدایت آچکی ہے

এগুলো কতগুলো নাম বৈ নয়, যা তোমরা এবং তোমাদের পূর্ব-পুরুষদের রেখেছ। এর সমর্থনে আল্লাহ কোন দলীল নাযিল করেননি। তারা অনুমান এবং প্রবৃত্তিরই অনুসরণ করে। অথচ তাদের কাছে তাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে পথ নির্দেশ এসেছে।
