But the answer of his people was not except that they said, "Expel the family of Lot from your city. Indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure."

But the only answer of his people was that they said, ‘Expel Lot’s family from your town! They are indeed a puritanical lot.’

But the answer of his folk was naught save that they said: Expel the household of Lot from your township, for they (forsooth) are folk who would keep clean!

But his people gave no other answer but this: they said, "Drive out the followers of Lut from your city: these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!"

And the only answer of his people was that they said, 'Expel the folk of Lot from your city; they are men that keep themselves clean!'

پس جواب قومش جز این نبود که گفتند: خاندان لوط را از شهرتان بیرون کنید؛ زیرا آنان مردمانی اند که همواره خواهان پاکی اند.

و[لی‌] پاسخ قومش غیر از این نبود که گفتند: «خاندان لوط را از شهرتان بیرون کنید که آنها مردمی هستند که به پاکی تظاهر می‌نمایند.»

Milletinin cevabı sadece: "Lut'un ailesini kasabanızdan çıkarın, güya onlar temiz kalmaya çalışan insanlarmış" demek oldu.

Maka tidak lain jawaban kaumnya melainkan mengatakan: "Usirlah Luth beserta keluarganya dari negerimu; karena sesungguhnya mereka itu orang-orang yang (mendakwakan dirinya) bersih".

تو ان کی قوم کا کوئی جواب نہیں تھا سوائے اس کے کہ لوط والوں کو اپنی بستی سے نکال باہر کردو کہ یہ لوگ بہت پاکباز بن رہے ہیں

উত্তরে তাঁর কওম শুধু এ কথাটিই বললো, লূত পরিবারকে তোমাদের জনপদ থেকে বের করে দাও। এরা তো এমন লোক যারা শুধু পাকপবিত্র সাজতে চায়।
