And test the orphans [in their abilities] until they reach marriageable age. Then if you perceive in them sound judgement, release their property to them. And do not consume it excessively and quickly, [anticipating] that they will grow up. And whoever, [when acting as guardian], is self-sufficient should refrain [from taking a fee]; and whoever is poor - let him take according to what is acceptable. Then when you release their property to them, bring witnesses upon them. And sufficient is Allah as Accountant.

Test the orphans when they reach the age of marriage. Then if you discern in them maturity, deliver to them their property. And do not consume it lavishly and hastily lest they should grow up. As for him who is well-off, let him be abstemious, and as for him who is poor, let him eat in an honourable manner. And when you deliver to them their property, take witnesses over them, and Allah suffices as reckoner.

Prove orphans till they reach the marriageable age; then, if ye find them of sound judgment, deliver over unto them their fortune; and devour it not by squandering and in haste lest they should grow up Whoso (of the guardians) is rich, let him abstain generously (from taking of the property of orphans); and whoso is poor let him take thereof in reason (for his guardianship). And when ye deliver up their fortune unto orphans, have (the transaction) witnessed in their presence. Allah sufficeth as a Reckoner.

Make trial of orphans until they reach the age of marriage; if then ye find sound judgment in them, release their property to them; but consume it not wastefully, nor in haste against their growing up. If the guardian is well-off, Let him claim no remuneration, but if he is poor, let him have for himself what is just and reasonable. When ye release their property to them, take witnesses in their presence: But all-sufficient is Allah in taking account.

و یتیمان را [نسبت به امور زندگی] بیازمایید تا زمانی که به حدّ ازدواج برسند، پس اگر در آنان رشد لازم را یافتید اموالشان را به خودشان بدهید و آن را از [ترس] آنکه مبادا به سن رشد رسند [و از شما بگیرند] به اسراف وشتاب مخورید. و [از سرپرستان ایتام] آنکه توانگر است باید [از تصرّف در مال یتیم به عنوان حق الزحمه] خودداری کند؛ و هر که تهیدست است به اندازه متعارف مصرف نماید؛ وهنگامی که خواستید اموالشان را به خودشان بدهید [برای آنکه در آینده اختلاف و نزاعی پیش نیاید] بر آنان گواه بگیرید؛ و خدا برای محاسبه کافی است.

و یتیمان را بیازمایید تا وقتی به [سن‌] زناشویی برسند؛ پس اگر در ایشان رشد [فکری‌] یافتید، اموالشان را به آنان رد کنید، و آن را [از بیم آنکه مبادا] بزرگ شوند، به اسراف و شتاب مخورید. و آن کس که توانگر است باید [از گرفتن اجرت سرپرستی‌] خودداری ورزد؛ و هر کس تهیدست است باید مطابق عرف [از آن‌] بخورد؛ پس هر گاه اموالشان را به آنان رد کردید بر ایشان گواه بگیرید، خداوند حسابرسی را کافی است.

Yetimleri, evlenme çağına gelene kadar deneyin; onlarda olgunlaşma görürseniz mallarını kendilerine verin; büyüyecekler de geri alacaklar diye onları israf ederek ve tez elden yemeyin. Zengin olan, iffetli olmağa çalışsın, yoksul olan uygun bir şekilde yesin. Mallarını kendilerine verdiğiniz zaman, yanlarında şahid bulundurun. Hesap sormak için Allah yeter.

Dan ujilah anak yatim itu sampai mereka cukup umur untuk kawin. Kemudian jika menurut pendapatmu mereka telah cerdas (pandai memelihara harta), maka serahkanlah kepada mereka harta-hartanya. Dan janganlah kamu makan harta anak yatim lebih dari batas kepatutan dan (janganlah kamu) tergesa-gesa (membelanjakannya) sebelum mereka dewasa. Barang siapa (di antara pemelihara itu) mampu, maka hendaklah ia menahan diri (dari memakan harta anak yatim itu) dan barangsiapa yang miskin, maka bolehlah ia makan harta itu menurut yang patut. Kemudian apabila kamu menyerahkan harta kepada mereka, maka hendaklah kamu adakan saksi-saksi (tentang penyerahan itu) bagi mereka. Dan cukuplah Allah sebagai Pengawas (atas persaksian itu).

اور یتیموں کا امتحان لو اور جب وہ نکاح کے قابل ہوجائیں تو اگر ان میں رشید ہونے کا احساس کروتو ان کے اموال ان کے حوالے کردو اور زیادتی کے ساتھ یا اس خوف سے کہ کہیں وہ بڑے نہ ہوجائیں جلدی جلدی نہ کھاجاؤ ... اور تم میں جو غنی ہے وہ ان کے مال سے پرہیز کرے اور جو فقیر ہے وہ بھی صرف بقدر مناسب کھائے- پھر جب ان کے اموال ان کے حوالے کرو تو گواہ بنالو اور خدا تو حساب کے لئے خود ہی کافی ہے

আর এতীমদের প্রতি বিশেষভাবে নজর রাখবে, যে পর্যন্ত না তারা বিয়ের বয়সে পৌঁছে। যদি তাদের মধ্যে বুদ্ধি-বিবেচনার উন্মেষ আঁচ করতে পার, তবে তাদের সম্পদ তাদের হাতে অর্পন করতে পার। এতীমের মাল প্রয়োজনাতিরিক্ত খরচ করো না বা তারা বড় হয়ে যাবে মনে করে তাড়াতাড়ি খেয়ে ফেলো না। যারা স্বচ্ছল তারা অবশ্যই এতীমের মাল খরচ করা থেকে বিরত থাকবে। আর যে অভাবগ্রস্ত সে সঙ্গত পরিমাণ খেতে পারে। যখন তাদের হাতে তাদের সম্পদ প্রত্যার্পণ কর, তখন সাক্ষী রাখবে। অবশ্য আল্লাহই হিসাব নেয়ার ব্যাপারে যথেষ্ট।
