Let not believers take disbelievers as allies rather than believers. And whoever [of you] does that has nothing with Allah, except when taking precaution against them in prudence. And Allah warns you of Himself, and to Allah is the [final] destination.

The faithful should not take the faithless for allies instead of the faithful, and Allah will have nothing to do with those who do that, except when you are wary of them, out of caution. Allah warns you to beware of [disobeying] Him, and toward Allah is the return.

Let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in preference to believers. Whoso doeth that hath no connection with Allah unless (it be) that ye but guard yourselves against them, taking (as it were) security. Allah biddeth you beware (only) of Himself. Unto Allah is the journeying.

Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah: except by way of precaution, that ye may Guard yourselves from them. But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself; for the final goal is to Allah.

Let not the believers take the unbelievers for friends, rather than the believers -- for whoso does that belongs not to God in anything -- unless you have a fear of them. God warns you that You beware of Him, and unto God is the homecoming.

مؤمنان نباید کافران را به جای اهل ایمان، سرپرست و دوست بگیرند؛ و هر کس چنین کند در هیچ پیوند و رابطه ای با خدا نیست، مگر آنکه بخواهید به سبب دفع خطری که متوجه شماست از آنان تقیّه کنید؛ خدا شما را از [عذاب] خود بر حذر می دارد، و بازگشت [همه] به سوی خداست.

مؤمنان نباید کافران را -به جای مؤمنان- به دوستی بگیرند؛ و هر که چنین کند، در هیچ چیز [او را] از [دوستی‌] خدا [بهره‌ای‌] نیست، مگر اینکه از آنان به نوعی تقیّه کند و خداوند، شما را از [عقوبت‌] خود می‌ترساند، و بازگشت [همه‌] به سوی خداست.

Müminler, müminleri bırakıp kafirleri dost edinmesinler; kim böyle yaparsa Allah katında bir değeri yoktur, ancak, onlardan sakınmanız hali müstesnadır. Allah sizi Kendisiyle korkutur, dönüş Allah'adır.

Janganlah orang-orang mukmin mengambil orang-orang kafir menjadi wali dengan meninggalkan orang-orang mukmin. Barang siapa berbuat demikian, niscaya lepaslah ia dari pertolongan Allah, kecuali karena (siasat) memelihara diri dari sesuatu yang ditakuti dari mereka. Dan Allah memperingatkan kamu terhadap diri (siksa)-Nya. Dan hanya kepada Allah kembali(mu).

خبردار صاحبانِ ایمان .مومنین کو چھوڑ کر کفار کو اپنا و لی اور سرپرست نہ بنائیں کہ جو بھی ایسا کرے گا اس کا خدا سے کوئی تعلق نہ ہوگا مگر یہ کہ تمہیں کفار سے خوف ہو تو کوئی حرج بھی نہیں ہے اور خدا تمہیں اپنی ہستی سے ڈراتا ہے اور اسی کی طرف پلٹ کر جانا ہے

মুমিনগন যেন অন্য মুমিনকে ছেড়ে কেন কাফেরকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ না করে। যারা এরূপ করবে আল্লাহর সাথে তাদের কেন সম্পর্ক থাকবে না। তবে যদি তোমরা তাদের পক্ষ থেকে কোন অনিষ্টের আশঙ্কা কর, তবে তাদের সাথে সাবধানতার সাথে থাকবে আল্লাহ তা’আলা তাঁর সম্পর্কে তোমাদের সতর্ক করেছেন। এবং সবাই কে তাঁর কাছে ফিরে যেতে হবে।
