Who hears the verses of Allah recited to him, then persists arrogantly as if he had not heard them. So give him tidings of a painful punishment.

که آیات خدا را در حالی که بر او می خوانند می شنود، آن گاه از روی سرکشی و تکبّر چنان که گویی آن را نشنیده است [بر کفر، عناد، دشمنی و مخالفتش] پافشاری می کند؛ پس او را به عذابی دردناک بشارت ده.

[که‌] آیات خدا را که بر او خوانده می‌شود، می‌شنود و باز به حال تکبر -چنانکه گویی آن را نشنیده است- سماجت می‌ورزد. پس او را از عذابی پردرد خبر ده.

Kendine okunan Allah'ın ayetlerini dinleyip, sonra, onları hiç duymamış gibi büyüklük taslamakta direnen, yalancı ve günahkar kişinin vay haline! Ona can yakıcı bir azap müjdele.

dia mendengar ayat-ayat Allah dibacakan kepadanya kemudian dia tetap menyombongkan diri seakan-akan dia tidak mendengarnya. Maka beri khabar gembiralah dia dengan azab yang pedih.

جو تلاوت کی جانے والی آیات کو سنتا ہے اور پھر اکڑ جاتا ہے جیسے سنا ہی نہیں ہے تو اسے دردناک عذاب کی بشارت دیدیجئے

সে আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহ শুনে, অতঃপর অহংকারী হয়ে জেদ ধরে, যেন সে আয়াত শুনেনি। অতএব, তাকে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তির সুসংবাদ দিন।
