And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment.

When Our signs are recited to him he turns away disdainfully, as if he had not heard them [at all], as if there were a deafness in his ears. So inform him of a painful punishment.

And when Our revelations are recited unto him he turneth away in pride as if he heard them not, as if there were a deafness in his ears. So give him tidings of a painful doom.

When Our Signs are rehearsed to such a one, he turns away in arrogance, as if he heard them not, as if there were deafness in both his ears: announce to him a grievous Penalty.

And when Our signs are recited to such a man he turns away, waxing proud, as though he heard them not, and in his ears were heaviness; so give him good tidings of a painful chastisement.

چون آیات ما بر او خوانده شود متکبرانه روی برمی گرداند، گویی آنها را نشنیده است، انگار در دو گوشش سنگینی است، پس او را به عذابی دردناک مژده ده؛

و چون آیات ما بر او خوانده شود، با نِخوت روی برمی‌گرداند، چنانکه گویی آن را نشنیده [یا] گویی در گوشهایش سنگینی است؛ پس او را از عذابی پر درد خبر ده.

Ayetlerimiz sapık kimseye okunduğu zaman sanki kulaklarında ağırlık var da işitmiyormuş gibi büyüklenerek sırt çevirir. İşte ona can yakıcı azabı müjde et.

Dan apabila dibacakan kepadanya ayat-ayat Kami dia berpaling dengan menyombongkan diri seolah-olah dia belum mendengarnya, seakan-akan ada sumbat di kedua telinganya; maka beri kabar gembiralah dia dengan azab yang pedih.

اور جب اس کے سامنے آیات الہٰیہ کی تلاوت کی جاتی ہے تو اکڑ کر منہ پھیرلیتا ہے جیسے اس نے کچھ سنا ہی نہیں ہے اور جیسے اس کے کان میں بہرا پن ہے .ایسے شخص کو درناک عذاب کی بشارت دے دیجئے

যখন ওদের সামনে আমার আয়তসমূহ পাঠ করা হয়, তখন ওরা দম্ভের সাথে এমনভাবে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়, যেন ওরা তা শুনতেই পায়নি অথবা যেন ওদের দু’কান বধির। সুতরাং ওদেরকে কষ্টদায়ক আযাবের সংবাদ দাও।
