And when he came to the well of Madyan, he found there a crowd of people watering [their flocks], and he found aside from them two women driving back [their flocks]. He said, "What is your circumstance?" They said, "We do not water until the shepherds dispatch [their flocks]; and our father is an old man."

When he arrived at the well of Midian, he found there a throng of people watering [their flocks], and he found, besides them, two women holding back [their flock]. He said, ‘What is your business?’ They said, ‘We do not water [our flock] until the shepherds have driven out [their flocks], and our father is an aged man.’

And when he came unto the water of Midian he found there a whole tribe of men, watering. And he found apart from them two women keeping back (their flocks). He said: What aileth you? The two said: We cannot give (our flocks) to drink till the shepherds return from the water; and our father is a very old man.

And when he arrived at the watering (place) in Madyan, he found there a group of men watering (their flocks), and besides them he found two women who were keeping back (their flocks). He said: "What is the matter with you?" They said: "We cannot water (our flocks) until the shepherds take back (their flocks): And our father is a very old man."

On the right way. And when he came to the waters of Midian he found a company of the people there drawing water, and he found, apart from them, two women holding back their flocks. He said, 'What is your business?' They said, 'We may not draw water until the shepherds drive off; and our father is passing old.'

هنگامی که به آب مدین رسید، گروهی از مردم را بر آن یافت که دام هایشان را آب می دادند، و غیر آنان دو زن را دید که [دام هایشان را از رفتن به سوی آب] بازمی دارند؛ گفت: چه چیزی شما را بر بازداشتن [گوسفندان] وامی دارد؟ گفتند: ما [این دام هایمان را] آب نمی دهیم تا [این] شبانان [دام هایشان را] برگردانند و پدر ما پیری کهنسال است [به این علت از انجام این کار معذور است.]

و چون به آب مدین رسید، گروهی از مردم را بر آن یافت که [دامهای خود را ] آب می‌دادند، و پشت سرشان دو زن را یافت که [گوسفندان خود را] دور می‌کردند. [موسی‌] گفت: «منظورتان [از این کار ]چیست؟» گفتند: « [ما به گوسفندان خود] آب نمی‌دهیم تا شبانان [همگی گوسفندانشان را] برگردانند، و پدر ما پیری سالخورده است.»

Medyen suyuna geldiğinde, davarlarını sulayan bir insan topluluğu buldu. Onlardan başka, hayvanlarını sudan alıkoyan iki kadın gördü. Onlara: "Derdiniz nedir?" dedi. "Çobanlar ayrılana kadar biz sulamayız. Babamız çok yaşlıdır, onun için bu işi biz yapıyoruz" dediler.

Dan tatkala ia sampai di sumber air negeri Mad-yan ia menjumpai di sana sekumpulan orang yang sedang meminumkan (ternaknya), dan ia menjumpai di belakang orang banyak itu, dua orang wanita yang sedang menghambat (ternaknya). Musa berkata: "Apakah maksudmu (dengan berbuat at begitu)?" Kedua wanita itu menjawab: "Kami tidak dapat meminumkan (ternak kami), sebelum pengembala-pengembala itu memulangkan (ternaknya), sedang bapak kami adalah orang tua yang telah lanjut umurnya".

اور جب مدین کے چشمہ پروارد ہوئے تو لوگوں کی ایک جماعت کو دیکھا جو جانوروں کو پانی پلارہی تھی اور ان سے الگ دو عورتیں تھیں جو جانوروں کو روکے کھڑی تھیں .موسٰی نے پوچھا کہ تم لوگوں کا کیا مسئلہ ہے ان دونوں نے کہا کہ ہم اس وقت تک پانی نہیں پلاتے ہیں جب تک ساری قوم ہٹ نہ جائے اور ہمارے بابا ایک ضعیف العمر آدمی ہیں

যখন তিনি মাদইয়ানের কূপের ধারে পৌছলেন, তখন কূপের কাছে একদল লোককে পেলেন তারা জন্তুদেরকে পানি পান করানোর কাজে রত। এবং তাদের পশ্চাতে দূ’জন স্ত্রীলোককে দেখলেন তারা তাদের জন্তুদেরকে আগলিয়ে রাখছে। তিনি বললেন, তোমাদের কি ব্যাপার? তারা বলল, আমরা আমাদের জন্তুদেরকে পানি পান করাতে পারি না, যে পর্যন্ত রাখালরা তাদের জন্তুদেরকে নিয়ে সরে না যায়। আমাদের পিতা খুবই বৃদ্ধ।
