[And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses.

When your sister walked up [to Pharaoh’s palace] saying, “Shall I show you someone who will take care of him?” Then We restored you to your mother, that she might not grieve and be comforted. Then you slew a soul, whereupon We delivered you from anguish, and We tried you with various ordeals. Then you stayed for several years among the people of Midian. Then you turned up as ordained, O Moses!

When thy sister went and said: Shall I show you one who will nurse him? and we restored thee to thy mother that her eyes might be refreshed and might not sorrow. And thou didst kill a man and We delivered thee from great distress, and tried thee with a heavy trial. And thou didst tarry years among the folk of Midian. Then camest thou (hither) by (My) providence, O Moses,

"Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses!

when thy sister went out, saying, "Shall I point you to one to have charge of him?" So We returned thee to thy mother that she might rejoice, and not sorrow. Then thou slewest; a living soul, and We delivered thee out of grief, and We tried thee with many trials. Many years among the people of Midian thou didst sojourn, then camest hither, Moses, according to a decree.

آن گاه که خواهرت به سوی کاخ فرعون رفت، و گفت: آیا شما را به کسی که از این نوزاد سرپرستی کند، راهنمایی کنم؟ پس تو را به مادرت برگرداندیم تا خوشحال و شاد شود و غم و غصه نخورد، و کسی [از فرعونیان] را کُشتی و ما تو را از اندوه [و نگرانی بر ارتکاب قتل آن مشرک] نجات دادیم، و چنان که باید امتحانت نمودیم، پس سالیانی در میان اهل مدین ماندی، سپس ای موسی! بر اساس تقدیر الهی [برای انتخاب شدن به مقام پیامبری اینجا] آمدی،

آنگاه که خواهر تو می‌رفت و می‌گفت: آیا شما را بر کسی که عهده‌دار او گردد دلالت کنم؟ پس تو را به سوی مادرت بازگردانیدیم تا دیده‌اش روشن شود و غم نخورد، و [سپس‌] شخصی را کُشتی و [ما] تو را از اندوه رهانیدیم، و تو را بارها آزمودیم، و سالی چند در میان اهل «مدین» ماندی، سپس ای موسی در زمان مقدر [و مقتضی‌] آمدی.

Kızkardeşin Firavun'un sarayına giderek: "Ona bakacak birini size göstereyim mi?" diyordu. Böylece, annen üzülmesin, sevinsin diye, seni ona iade etmiştik. Sen bir cana kıymıştın, seni üzüntüden kurtarmış ve seni birçok musibetlerle denemiştik. Bunun için, Medyen halkı arasında yıllarca kalmıştın. Sonra, ey Musa, peygamberlik görevini yüklenecek bir yaşa gelince dönüp geldin.

(yaitu) ketika saudaramu yang perempuan berjalan, lalu ia berkata kepada (keluarga Fir'aun): "Bolehkah saya menunjukkan kepadamu orang yang akan memeliharanya?" Maka Kami mengembalikanmu kepada ibumu, agar senang hatinya dan tidak berduka cita. Dan kamu pernah membunuh seorang manusia, lalu Kami selamatkan kamu dari kesusahan dan Kami telah mencobamu dengan beberapa cobaan; maka kamu tinggal beberapa tahun diantara penduduk Madyan, kemudian kamu datang menurut waktu yang ditetapkan hai Musa,

اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب تمہاری بہن جارہی تھیں کہ فرعون سے کہیں کہ کیا میں کسی ایسے کا پتہ بتاؤں جو اس کی کفالت کرسکے اور اس طرح ہم نے تم کو تمہاری ماں کی طرف پلٹا دیا تاکہ ان کی آنکھیں ٹھنڈی ہوجائیں اور وہ رنجیدہ نہ ہوں اور تم نے ایک شخص کو قتل کردیا تو ہم نے تمہیں غم سے نجات دے دی اور تمہارا باقاعدہ امتحان لے لیا پھر تم اہل مدین میں کئی برس تک رہے اس کے بعد تم ایک منزل پر آگئے اے موسٰی

যখন তোমার ভগিনী এসে বললঃ আমি কি তোমাদেরকে বলে দেব কে তাকে লালন পালন করবে। অতঃপর আমি তোমাকে তোমার মাতার কাছে ফিরিয়ে দিলাম, যাতে তার চক্ষু শীতল হয় এবং দুঃখ না পায়। তুমি এক ব্যক্তিকে হত্যা করেছিলে, অতঃপর আমি তোমাকে এই দুশ্চিন্তা থেকে মুক্তি দেই; আমি তোমাকে অনেক পরীক্ষা করেছি। অতঃপর তুমি কয়েক বছর মাদইয়ান বাসীদের মধ্যে অবস্থান করেছিলে; হে মূসা, অতঃপর তুমি নির্ধারিত সময়ে এসেছ।
