O you who have believed, indeed many of the scholars and the monks devour the wealth of people unjustly and avert [them] from the way of Allah. And those who hoard gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah - give them tidings of a painful punishment.

O you who have faith! Indeed many of the scribes and monks wrongfully eat up the people’s wealth, and bar [them] from the way of Allah. Those who treasure up gold and silver, and do not spend it in the way of Allah, inform them of a painful punishment

O ye who believe! Lo! many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian) monks devour the wealth of mankind wantonly and debar (men) from the way of Allah. They who hoard up gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah, unto them give tidings (O Muhammad) of a painful doom,

O ye who believe! there are indeed many among the priests and anchorites, who in Falsehood devour the substance of men and hinder (them) from the way of Allah. And there are those who bury gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah: announce unto them a most grievous penalty-

O believers, many of the rabbis and monks indeed consume the goods of the people in vanity and bar from God's way. Those who treasure up gold and silver, and do not expend them in the way of God -- give them the good tidings of a painful chastisement,

ای اهل ایمان! یقیناً بسیاری از عالمان یهود و راهبان، اموال مردم را به باطل [و به صورتی نامشروع] می خورند و همواره [مردم را] از راه خدا بازمی دارند؛ و کسانی را که طلا و نقره می اندوزند و آن را در راه خدا هزینه نمی کنند، به عذاب دردناکی مژده ده.

ای کسانی که ایمان آورده‌اید، بسیاری از دانشمندان یهود و راهبان، اموال مردم را به ناروا می‌خورند، و [آنان را] از راه خدا باز می‌دارند، و کسانی که زر و سیم را گنجینه می‌کنند و آن را در راه خدا هزینه نمی‌کنند، ایشان را از عذابی دردناک خبر ده.

Ey inananlar! Hahamlar ve rahiplerin çoğu, insanların mallarını haksızlıkla yerler. Allah yolundan alıkoyarlar. Altın ve gümüşü biriktirip Allah yolunda sarf etmeyenlere can yakıcı bir azabı müjdele.

Hai orang-orang yang beriman, sesungguhnya sebahagian besar dari orang-orang alim Yahudi dan rahib-rahib Nasrani benar-benar memakan harta orang dengan jalan batil dan mereka menghalang-halangi (manusia) dari jalan Allah. Dan orang-orang yang menyimpan emas dan perak dan tidak menafkahkannya pada jalan Allah, maka beritahukanlah kepada mereka, (bahwa mereka akan mendapat) siksa yang pedih,

ایمان والو نصارٰی کے بہت سے علمائ اور راہب ,لوگوں کے اموال کو ناجائز طریقہ سے کھاجاتے ہیں اور لوگوں کو راسِ خدا سے روکتے ہیں .... اور جو لوگ سونے چاندی کا ذخیرہ کرتے ہیں اور اسے راہ هخدا میں خرچ نہیں کرتے پیغمبر,آپ انہیں دردناک عذاب کی بشارت دے دیں

হে ঈমানদারগণ! পন্ডিত ও সংসারবিরাগীদের অনেকে লোকদের মালামাল অন্যায়ভাবে ভোগ করে চলছে এবং আল্লাহর পথ থেকে লোকদের নিবৃত রাখছে। আর যারা স্বর্ণ ও রূপা জমা করে রাখে এবং তা ব্যয় করে না আল্লাহর পথে, তাদের কঠোর আযাবের সুসংবাদ শুনিয়ে দিন।
