And if We hold back from them the punishment for a limited time, they will surely say, "What detains it?" Unquestionably, on the Day it comes to them, it will not be averted from them, and they will be enveloped by what they used to ridicule.

And if We defer their punishment until a certain time, they will surely say, ‘What holds it back?’ Look! On the day it overtakes them it shall not be turned away from them, and they will be besieged by what they used to deride.

And if We delay for them the doom until a reckoned time, they will surely say: What withholdeth it? Verily on the day when it cometh unto them, it cannot be averted from them, and that which they derided will surround them.

If We delay the penalty for them for a definite term, they are sure to say, "What keeps it back?" Ah! On the day it (actually) reaches them, nothing will turn it away from them, and they will be completely encircled by that which they used to mock at!

And if We postpone the chastisement from them till a reckoned moment they will say 'What is detaining it?' Surely, the day it shall come to them, it shall not be turned aside from them, and they shall be encompassed by that they mocked at.

و اگر عذاب را از آنان تا مدتی اندک به تأخیر اندازیم، مسلماً [از روی استهزا] خواهند گفت: چه عاملی آن را [از آمدن] باز می دارد؟! آگاه باشید! روزی که عذاب به آنان رسد، از آنان بازگشتنی و بازداشتنی نیست و عذابی را که همواره مسخره می کردند، آنان را فراخواهد گرفت.

و اگر عذاب را تا چندگاهی از آنان به تأخیر افکنیم، حتماً خواهند گفت: «چه چیز آن را باز می‌دارد؟» آگاه باش، روزی که [عذاب‌] به آنان برسد از ایشان بازگشتنی نیست، و آنچه را که مسخره می‌کردند آنان را فرو خواهد گرفت.

And olsun ki, onların azabını sayılı bir süreye kadar ertelesek, "Onu alıkoyan nedir?" derler. Bilin ki, onlara azab geldiği gün, artık geri çevrilmez; alaya aldıkları şey onları mahvedecektir.

Dan sesungguhnya jika Kami undurkan azab dari mereka sampai kepada suatu waktu yang ditentukan. niscaya mereka akan berkata: "Apakah yang menghalanginya?" lngatlah, diwaktu azab itu datang kepada mereka tidaklah dapat dipalingkan dari mereka dan mereka diliputi oleh azab yang dahulunya mereka selalu memperolok-olokkannya.

اور اگر ہم ان کے عذاب کو ایک معینہ مدّت کے لئے ٹال دیں تو طنز کریں گے کہ عذاب کو کس چیز نے روک لیا ہے -آگاہ ہوجاؤ کہ جس دن عذاب آجائے گا تو پھر پلٹنے والا نہیں ہے اور پھر وہ عذاب ان کو ہر طرف سے گھیر لے گا جس کا یہ مذاق اڑا رہے تھے

আর যদি আমি এক নির্ধারিত মেয়াদ পর্যন্ত তাদের আযাব স্থগিত রাখি, তাহলে তারা নিশ্চয়ই বলবে কোন জিনিসে আযাব ঠেকিয়ে রাখছে? শুনে রাখ, যেদিন তাদের উপর আযাব এসে পড়বে, সেদিন কিন্তু তা ফিরে যাওয়ার নয়; তারা যে ব্যাপারে উপহাস করত তাই তাদেরকে ঘিরে ফেলবে।
