And We sent not before you [as messengers] except men to whom We revealed from among the people of cities. So have they not traveled through the earth and observed how was the end of those before them? And the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah; then will you not reason?

We did not send [any apostles] before you except as men from among the people of the towns, to whom We revealed. Have they not travelled over the land so that they may observe how was the fate of those who were before them? And the abode of the Hereafter is surely better for those who are Godwary. Do you not exercise your reason?

We sent not before thee (any messengers) save men whom We inspired from among the folk of the townships - Have they not travelled in the land and seen the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? And verily the abode of the Hereafter, for those who ward off (evil), is best. Have ye then no sense? -

Nor did We send before thee (as messengers) any but men, whom we did inspire,- (men) living in human habitations. Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those before them? But the home of the hereafter is best, for those who do right. Will ye not then understand?

We sent not forth any before thee, but men We revealed to of the people living in the cities. Have they not journeyed in the land? Have they not beheld how was the end of those before them?. Surely the abode of the world to come is better for those that are godfearing. What, do you not understand?

و پیش از تو [بخاطر هدایت مردم] جز مردانی از اهل آبادی ها را که به آنان وحی می نمودیم نفرستادیم. آیا [مخالفان حق] به گردش و سفر در زمین نرفتند تا با تأمل بنگرند که عاقبت کسانی که پیش از آنان بودند [و از روی کبر و عناد به مخالفت با حق برخاستند] چگونه بود؟ و مسلماً سرای آخرت برای کسانی که پرهیزکاری کردند، بهتر است؛ آیا نمی اندیشید؟

و پیش از تو [نیز] جز مردانی از اهل شهرها را -که به آنان وحی می‌کردیم- نفرستادیم. آیا در زمین نگردیده‌اند تا فرجام کسانی را که پیش از آنان بوده‌اند بنگرند؟ و قطعاً سرای آخرت برای کسانی که پرهیزگاری کرده‌اند بهتر است. آیا نمی‌اندیشید؟

Senden önce kasabalar halkından şüphesiz, kendilerine vahyettiğimiz bir takım insanlar gönderdik. Yeryüzünde dolaşmıyorlar mı ki, kendilerinden önce geçenlerin sonlarının ne olduğunu görsünler? Ahiret yurdu Allah'a karşı gelmekten sakınanlar için hayırlıdır. Akletmez misiniz?

Kami tidak mengutus sebelum kamu, melainkan orang laki-laki yang Kami berikan wahyu kepadanya diantara penduduk negeri. Maka tidakkah mereka bepergian di muka bumi lalu melihat bagaimana kesudahan orang-orang sebelum mereka (yang mendustakan rasul) dan sesungguhnya kampung akhirat adalah lebih baik bagi orang-orang yang bertakwa. Maka tidakkah kamu memikirkannya?

اور ہم نے آپ سے پہلے ان ہی مذِدوں کو رسول بنایا ہے جو آبادیوں میں رہنے والے تھے اور ہم نے ان کی طرف وحی بھی کی ہے تو کیا یہ لوگ زمین میں سیر نہیں کرتے کہ دیکھیں کہ ان سے پہلے والوں کا انجام کیا ہوا ہے اور دا» آخرت صرف صاحبانِ تقوٰی کے لئے بہترین منزل ہے -کیا تم لوگ عقل سے کام نہیں لیتے ہو

আপনার পূর্বে আমি যতজনকে রসূল করে পাঠিয়েছি, তারা সবাই পুরুষই ছিল জনপদবাসীদের মধ্য থেকে। আমি তাঁদের কাছে ওহী প্রেরণ করতাম। তারা কি দেশ-বিদেশ ভ্রমণ করে না, যাতে দেখে নিত কিরূপ পরিণতি হয়েছে তাদের যারা পূর্বে ছিল ? সংযমকারীদের জন্যে পরকালের আবাসই উত্তম। তারা কি এখনও বোঝে না?
