إِنَّ لَا أَن مَّا فَمَا فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ أَنَّهُ مِن وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ مَاذَآ بِهَٰذَا بِهِۦ بِهِۦ وَمَا بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا ﴿٢٦﴾

Translation

Saheeh International

Indeed, Allah is not timid to present an example - that of a mosquito or what is smaller than it. And those who have believed know that it is the truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, "What did Allah intend by this as an example?" He misleads many thereby and guides many thereby. And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient,

هدف از مثال در قرآن

در شأن نزول این آیه چنین نقل شده است که هنگامی که خداوند آیاتی را نازل فرمود و در آنها به مگس (حج - ۷۳) و عنکبوت (عنکبوت - ۴۱) مثال زد جمعی از مشرکان این موضوع را بهانه قرار داده» زبان به انتقاد گشودند و مسخره کردند که این چگونه وحی آسمانی است که سخن از عنکبوت و مگس می‌گوید. خداوند نیز این آیه را در جواب آنها نازل فرمود. هدف از مثال زدن به چیزهای گوناگون» فهماندن حقایق و نزدیک کردن مفاهیم سخت به فکر و ذهن افراد است و این مطلب در سخنان و کتاب‌های دانشمندان و بزرگان بسیار زیاد است. انسان هر چه ساده‌اندیش‌تر باشدء بیشتر به مثال احتیاج دارد و به همین دلیل اگر مثلاً استاد ریاضی بخواهد مسائل هندسی را برای نوآموزی مطرح کند حتماً باید از مثال کمک بگیرد. قرآن کریم نیز در ارایةُ مسارف گوناگون خود» از مثل‌های متعدد - و البته متنوع - استفاده کرده است. امام صادق(ع) در بارة این آیه می‌فرماید: «خداوند به پشه مثال زد؛ زیرا در همان پشه. به رغم کوچکی‌اش, تمام چیزهایی را آفریده است که در فیل, با آن بزرگی‌اش» آفریده؛ به علاوة دو عضو دیگر [شاخک‌ها و بال‌ها]» خداوند می‌خواهد با این مثال, ظرافت آفرینش را برای موّمنان بیان کند. تفکر در بارة این موجود به ظاهر ضعیف که خدا آن را شبیه فیل آفریده است» انسان را متوجه عظمت آفریدگار می‌کند.

    Say, "O People of the Scripture, why do you avert from the way of Allah those who believe, seeking to make it [seem] deviant, while you are witnesses [to the truth]? And Allah is…

  • وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِىٓ إِلَيْهِ مَنْ أَنَابَ

    And those who disbelieved say, "Why has a sign not been sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, Allah leaves astray whom He wills and guides to Himself…

  • كَذَٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

    Thus does Allah seal the hearts of those who do not know.

  • فَمَن يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ أَن يَهْدِيَهُۥ يَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهُۥ لِلْإِسْلَٰمِ وَمَن يُرِدْ أَن يُضِلَّهُۥ يَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهُۥ ضَيِّقًا حَرَجًا كَأَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَذَٰلِكَ يَجْعَلُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلرِّجْسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

    So whoever Allah wants to guide - He expands his breast to [contain] Islam; and whoever He wants to misguide - He makes his breast tight and constricted as though he were climbing…
