And those who disbelieve say of those who believe, "If it had [truly] been good, they would not have preceded us to it." And when they are not guided by it, they will say, "This is an ancient falsehood."

The faithless say about the faithful, ‘Had it been [anything] good, they would not have taken the lead over us toward [accepting] it.’ And since they could not find the way to it, they will say, ‘It is an ancient lie.’

And those who disbelieve say of those who believe: If it had been (any) good, they would not have been before us in attaining it. And since they will not be guided by it, they say: This is an ancient lie;

The Unbelievers say of those who believe: "If (this Message) were a good thing, (such men) would not have gone to it first, before us!" And seeing that they guide not themselves thereby, they will say, "this is an (old,) falsehood!"

The unbelievers say, as regards the believers, 'If it had been aught good, they had not outstripped us to it.' And since they are not guided by it, certainly they will say, 'This is an old calumny!'

و کافران درباره مؤمنان گفتند: اگر [آیین محمّد] بهتر [از آیین ما] بود [آنان در پذیرفتنش] بر ما نسبت به آن پیشی نمی گرفتند [بلکه خود ما زودتر از آنان به این کتاب ایمان می آوردیم]. و چون [خودشان به خاطر کبر و عنادشان] به وسیله آن هدایت نیافتند، به زودی خواهند گفت: این یک دروغ قدیمی است.

و کسانی که کافر شدند، به آنان که گرویده‌اند گفتند: «اگر [این دین‌] خوب بود، بر ما بدان پیشی نمی‌گرفتند.» و چون بدان هدایت نیافته‌اند، به زودی خواهند گفت: «این دروغی کهنه است.»

İnkar edenler, inananlar için: "Eğer İslamiyet'te bir hayır olsaydı, bu hususta bizden öne geçemezlerdi" derler. Bununla doğru yola girmedikleri için de, "Bu, eski bir uydurmadır" derler.

Dan orang-orang kafir berkata kepada orang-orang yang beriman: "Kalau sekiranya di (Al Quran) adalah suatu yang baik, tentulah mereka tiada mendahului kami (beriman) kepadanya. Dan karena mereka tidak mendapat petunjuk dengannya maka mereka akan berkata: "Ini adalah dusta yang lama".

اور یہ کفار ایمان والوں سے کہتے ہیں کہ اگر یہ دین بہتر ہوتا تو یہ لوگ ہم سے آگے اس کی طرف نہ دوڑ پڑتے اور جب ان لوگوں نے خود ہدایت نہیں حاصل کی تو اب کہتے ہیں کہ یہ بہت پرانا جھوٹ ہے

আর কাফেররা মুমিনদের বলতে লাগল যে, যদি এ দ্বীন ভাল হত তবে এরা আমাদেরকে পেছনে ফেলে এগিয়ে যেতে পারত না। তারা যখন এর মাধ্যমে সুপথ পায়নি, তখন শীঘ্রই বলবে, এ তো এক পুরাতন মিথ্যা।
