So when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, We opened to them the doors of every [good] thing until, when they rejoiced in that which they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were [then] in despair.

So when they forgot what they had been admonished of, We opened for them the gates of all [good] things. When they became proud of what they were given, We seized them suddenly, whereat, behold, they were despondent.

Then, when they forgot that whereof they had been reminded, We opened unto them the gates of all things till, even as they were rejoicing in that which they were given, We seized them unawares, and lo! they were dumbfounded.

But when they forgot the warning they had received, We opened to them the gates of all (good) things, until, in the midst of their enjoyment of Our gifts, on a sudden, We called them to account, when lo! they were plunged in despair!

So, when they forgot what they were reminded of; We opened unto them the gates of everything until; when they rejoiced in what they were given, We seized them suddenly, and behold, they were sore confounded.

پس چون حقایقی را که [برای عبرت گرفتنشان] به آن یادآوری شده بودند، فراموش کردند، درهای همه نعمت ها را به روی آنان گشودیم، تا هنگامی که به آنچه داده شدند، مغرورانه خوشحال گشتند، به ناگاه آنان را [به عذاب] گرفتیم، پس یکباره [از نجات خود] درمانده و نومید شدند.

پس چون آنچه را که بدان پند داده شده بودند فراموش کردند، درهای هر چیزی [از نعمتها] را بر آنان گشودیم، تا هنگامی که به آنچه داده شده بودند شاد گردیدند؛ ناگهان [گریبان‌] آنان را گرفتیم، و یکباره نومید شدند.

Kendilerine hatırlatılanı unuttuklarında, onlara her şeyin kapısını açtık; kendilerine verilene sevinince ansızın onları yakaladık da umutsuz kalıverdiler.

Maka tatkala mereka melupakan peringatan yang telah diberikan kepada mereka, Kamipun membukakan semua pintu-pintu kesenangan untuk mereka; sehingga apabila mereka bergembira dengan apa yang telah diberikan kepada mereka, Kami siksa mereka dengan sekonyong-konyong, maka ketika itu mereka terdiam berputus asa.

پھر جب ان نصیحتوں کو بھول گئے جو انہیں یاد دلائی گئی تھیں تو ہم نے امتحان کے طور پر ان کے لئے ہر چیز کے دروازے کھول دئیے یہاں تک کہ جب وہ ان نعمتوں سے خوشحال ہوگئے تو ہم نے اچانک انہیں اپنی گرفت میں لے لیا اور وہ مایوس ہوکر رہ گئے

অতঃপর তারা যখন ঐ উপদেশ ভুলে গেল, যা তাদেরকে দেয়া হয়েছিল, তখন আমি তাদের সামনে সব কিছুর দ্বার উম্মুক্ত করে দিলাম। এমনকি, যখন তাদেরকে প্রদত্ত বিষয়াদির জন্যে তারা খুব গর্বিত হয়ে পড়ল, তখন আমি অকস্মাৎ তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করলাম। তখন তারা নিরাশ হয়ে গেল।
