O you who have believed, do not invalidate your charities with reminders or injury as does one who spends his wealth [only] to be seen by the people and does not believe in Allah and the Last Day. His example is like that of a [large] smooth stone upon which is dust and is hit by a downpour that leaves it bare. They are unable [to keep] anything of what they have earned. And Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.

O you who have faith! Do not render your charities void by reproaches and affronts, like those who spend their wealth to be seen by people and have no faith in Allah and the Last Day. Their parable is that of a rock covered with soil: a downpour strikes it, leaving it bare. They have no power over anything of what they have earned, and Allah does not guide the faithless lot.

O ye who believe! Render not vain your almsgiving by reproach and injury, like him who spendeth his wealth only to be seen of men and believeth not in Allah and the Last Day. His likeness is as the likeness of a rock whereon is dust of earth; a rainstorm smiteth it, leaving it smooth and bare. They have no control of aught of that which they have gained. Allah guideth not the disbelieving folk.

O ye who believe! cancel not your charity by reminders of your generosity or by injury,- like those who spend their substance to be seen of men, but believe neither in Allah nor in the Last Day. They are in parable like a hard, barren rock, on which is a little soil: on it falls heavy rain, which leaves it (Just) a bare stone. They will be able to do nothing with aught they have earned. And Allah guideth not those who reject faith.

O believers, void not your freewill offerings with reproach and injury, as one who expends of his substance to show off to men and believes not in God and the Last Day. The likeness of him is as the likeness of a smooth rock on which is soil, and a torrent smites it, and leaves it barren. They have no power over anything that they have earned. God guides not the people of the unbelievers.

ای اهل ایمان! صدقه هایتان را با منت و آزار باطل نکنید، مانند کسی که مالش را به ریا به مردم انفاق می کند و به خدا و روز قیامت ایمان ندارد، که وصفش مانند سنگ سخت و خارایی است که بر آن [پوششی نازک از] خاک قرار دارد و رگباری تند و درشت به آن برسد و آن سنگ را صاف [و بدون خاک] واگذارد [صدقه ریایی مانند آن خاک است و این ریاکاران] به چیزی از آنچه کسب کرده اند، دست نمی یابند و خدا مردم کافر را هدایت نمی کند.

ای کسانی که ایمان آورده‌اید، صدقه‌های خود را با منّت و آزار، باطل مکنید، مانند کسی که مالش را برای خودنمایی به مردم، انفاق می‌کند و به خدا و روز بازپسین ایمان ندارد. پس مَثَل او همچون مَثَل سنگ خارایی است که بر روی آن، خاکی [نشسته‌] است، و رگباری به آن رسیده و آن [سنگ‌] را سخت و صاف بر جای نهاده است. آنان [=ریاکاران‌] نیز از آنچه به دست آورده‌اند، بهره‌ای نمی‌برند؛ و خداوند، گروه کافران را هدایت نمی‌کند.

Ey İnananlar! Allah'a ve ahiret gününe inanmayıp, insanlara gösteriş için malını sarfeden kimse gibi, sadakalarınızı başa kakma ve eza etmekle boşa çıkarmayın. Onun durumu, üzerinde toprak bulunan kayanın durumu gibidir, üzerine bol yağmur yağdığındaonu cascavlak bırakır. Kazandıklarından hiçbir şey elde edemezler. Allah inkar eden kimseleri doğru yola eriştirmez.

Hai orang-orang yang beriman, janganlah kamu menghilangkan (pahala) sedekahmu dengan menyebut-nyebutnya dan menyakiti (perasaan si penerima), seperti orang yang menafkahkan hartanya karena riya kepada manusia dan dia tidak beriman kepada Allah dan hari kemudian. Maka perumpamaan orang itu seperti batu licin yang di atasnya ada tanah, kemudian batu itu ditimpa hujan lebat, lalu menjadilah dia bersih (tidak bertanah). Mereka tidak menguasai sesuatupun dari apa yang mereka usahakan; dan Allah tidak memberi petunjuk kepada orang-orang yang kafir.

ایمان والو اپنے صدقات کو منّت گزاری اور اذیت سے برباد نہ کرو اس شخص کی طرح جو اپنے مال کو دنیا دکھانے کے لئے صرف کرتاہے اور اس کا ایمان نہ خدا پر ہے اور نہ آخرت پر اس کی مثال اس صاف چٹان کی ہے جس پر گرد جم گئی ہو کہ تیز بارش کے آتے ہی بالکل صاف ہوجائے یہ لوگ اپنی کمائی پر بھی اختیار نہیں رکھتے اور اللہ کافروں کی ہدایت بھی نہیں کرتا

হে ঈমানদারগণ!তোমরা অনুগ্রহের কথা প্রকাশ করে এবং কষ্ট দিয়ে নিজেদের দান খয়রাত বরবাদ করো না সে ব্যক্তির মত যে নিজের ধন-সম্পদ লোক দেখানোর উদ্দেশ্যে ব্যয় করে এবং আল্লাহ ও পরকালের প্রতি বিশ্বাস রাখে না। অতএব, এ ব্যাক্তির দৃষ্টান্ত একটি মসৃণ পাথরের মত যার উপর কিছু মাটি পড়েছিল। অতঃপর এর উপর প্রবল বৃষ্টি বর্ষিত হলো, অনন্তর তাকে সম্পূর্ণ পরিষ্কার করে দিল। তারা ঐ বস্তুর কোন সওয়াব পায় না, যা তারা উপার্জন করেছে। আল্লাহ কাফের সম্প্রদায়কে পথ প্রদর্শন করেন না।
